Having contacts is better then having brains

"Using your own personal experience, write a few lines that describe how a personal contact has provided a creative opportunity for you"

My personal experience has alot of different angles on it. to start of, my dad is a bookbinder and when i was 11 he moved ot a new company, Shephards. One of the workers there is a japenese lady called Eri, she use to be a graphics designer in japan, and when she learned that i was interested in anime and manga. whenever she when back to japan she would pick me up some stuff for me to read or watch, and when i started working for my dads company two years ago, we spoke a lot and in the summer, Eri invited me to go to japan with her and stay with her family, most of whom do graphics design for jobs, so for the week that i was out there i got the chance to have a look around there graphics company and see how things worked and were produced. and the end of the week, i thanked everyone and came back to england with Eri, and then last christmas i got a card from japan saying that, i was always welcome to come back with Eri, to learn and experience more in the graphics design industry
